Why Christ Came to Earth

December 18, 2019 //  by Two Olive Trees

God did not send His Son Christ Jesus to condemn the world, but to save the world. He who obeys the Son is not condemned. He who does not obey the Son is condemned already because he did not choose to obey the Word, the only begotten Son of God (John 3:18).

He who rejects Christ Jesus, and does not obey His Word, has One who judges him. The Word Jesus spoke is what will judge him on the last day (John 12:48).

And this is the way God judges all mankind: The Word came into the world, but men love their own thoughts and agendas more than God’s Word. For their own way of thinking about what is evil and what is good, makes more sense to them than God’s Word. Everyone who hates the Word likes their own way of thinking and doing things. Therefore, ignoring the Word, they prevent the possibility that their wrong thinking will be exposed to their hearts by the Word. They never come to repentance! But the one who loves God abides continually in the Word so that he can make sure that his way of thinking and living are in accordance with the mind of God.

This is why Jesus Christ came! Not for condemnation, but for clarity – so that we may see the way back to God.

Those who do not know God and those who do not obey the Words He spoke, these will pay the penalty of eternal punishment.

If you will seek Him, you will find Him. The Holy Spirit will open the Word of God to your understanding and reveal Him to you.

It was for this that our Father in heaven has called us – that we should gain back the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ, which was lost through our own sin.
